The new album was recorded and mixed by F.lor in Paris between July 2007 and July 2008, and mastered in Los Angeles by John Golden. The first takes were recorded at the Microbe studio on a rare Euphonix mixing desk, and were later arranged at studio PUSH, in the 18th arrondissement. It was in the cavernous heart of this strange underground laboratory that the three-piece diligently crafted their efficient but ambitious songs. Amplified kalimbas, reverb-drenched guitars, catchy rhythms, vintage keyboards and psychedelic vocals invoke the holy trinity - Fela Kuti, Brian Eno and TomZé (the one of tropicalism ) - and take the listener on a voyage through a fantastical and enchanting world, perfectly illustrated by the work of Japanese artist Yu Matsuoka.

by S. M . Eisenstein. The film was shot in 1931 but edited by Alexandrov in 1979. NLF3 has scored and composed this beautiful and unique alternate musical proposition on the film.

Don Nino is one of those French artists who builds up their own musical idiosyncrasy. Wilfried* is a french songwriter who lives in Paris. He has been releasing and recording songs from 1992. We can situate his work somewhere between Lofi Master Daniel Jonhston and french singers like Serge Gainsgourg or Katerine and Dominique A. "Songs For Mum&Dad" is his first full lenght album but he has already released singles in the UK and Japan.

Don Nino has finally decided to release some of the material he's been keeping secret for a few years. His uncommon approach to modern folk music gives an original form to these songs. The album shifts from a mixture of deconstructed pop and bittersweet bossa nova, to shades of jazz and darker atmospheres. Created by Prohibited Records co-founders, this project proposes a spontaneous approach of instrumental composition. The trio cite 70's jazz, afrobeat and experimental rock as inspirations. The use of sampler-pedals for guitars & bass, a Macintosh G3 and a small sampler put their music in dialgue certain contemporary mouvements ( electronica).

The general atmosphere situates the band in the post-rock realm though they frequent diverse musical frontiers, shifting between contemporary and improvised music. The guitar style has been likened to that of Derek Bailey and the complexity of the music is brought together by a narrative approach in singing. Patton is creative, driven, minimalist and modern. In these last few months, the band has recorded new material for a full length album ÔJ-R for Jaune Ð RougeÕ .

After their first album "Whales Lead To The Deep Sea", here comes a beautiful sequel. "Open Transport" keeps the entire identity of Purr's style while exploring new soundscapes. The new album by the quartet Heliogabale is simply inspirational. Recorded by Al Sutton in 1999 (Don Caballero, Today's The Day etc.), "Mobile Home"reveals a new orientation for the band with full atmospheric segments, innovative mixes, samples and a beautiful melodic approach in Sasha Andres' singing. For one song, Heliogabale joined with musicians Eugene Rodinson(Oxbow/USA) and Jerome Lorichonberg (Purr/Fr).
