Patton is a band from Brussels, Belgium. The band began with brothers Max and Sam Bodson in 1994, who were developing a personal kind of music that was searching for it's place between contemporary and improvised music.

After making their debut record, the brothers began to work with Philippe Koeune, an uncommon, deep-grooving bassist whom they'd studied with at The Brussels Jazz School.

Though the overall atmosphere of the music may situate the band somewhere within the post-rock field, there are elements that place it slightly off-center of this. The guitar-work tends to resemble more of a Derek Bailey style than anything resembling 'rock' guitar, but the complexity is always rounded out with a narrative approach in the singing.

Though the band's recordings are generally made by Max, who's a sound engineer, Prohibited veteran F.lor made the trip to Brussels in August 2000 to record the album "JR for Jaune-Rouge". Patton is angular, creative, minimalist and modern.

Their first record, mini-album "Love Boat" came out on Prohibited Records in 1997. "JR for Jaune-Rouge" was released in February of 2001.

From 2003, the group has taken the form of a duo, concentrated on brothers Bodson personnalities and complementarity.
