Join us to celebrate the release of Flowers, the new album by Pacôme Genty, out on Prohibited Records.
PACÔME GENTY • SPECIAL GUESTS : QUENTIN ROLLET & JEROME LORICHON
Sunday 8th of November 2026 • La Butinerie, 32 rue de l’ancien canal, Pantin. 17H-20H. Tickets
Recorded in Paris by Fabrice Laureau (Yann Tiersen, Shannon Wright, The Married Monk, Dirty Three…) and arranged by Julien Gasc (piano, drums, bass), Flowers finds Pacôme Genty at the height of his art.
Ten finely crafted songs in which psychedelia, pop and English-language poetry intertwine in a play of textures and overlapping layers, like brushstrokes sculpting the very substance of sound.
Sensitive, strange and deeply melodic, the tracks unfold with a liberating sense of freedom: feverish rhythms on “Moving House”, hypnotic refrains on “Flowers” and “White”, Brazilian inflections… Genty proceeds in delicate strokes, letting the songs breathe, grow hazy or burst into flames.
Joining him as special guests are the outstanding duo of Quentin Rollet & Jérôme Lorichon, key figures on the Prohibited label and the Parisian music scene, who released their album Planisphère last year.
“Fragmented rhythms, streaks of sine waves and insistent pulses blanket the instrument’s rounded, burnished tones, in a constant alternation between atonal minimalism and Dionysian frenzy. Rustlings, metallic resonances, the clicking of reeds and whispers expelled from the lungs give way to a deluge of analogue hailstones. Somewhere between free jazz and post-industrial music…” — Julien Bécourt
