F/LOR – Edges
Limited edition LP & digital, June 19, 2026.

Behind F/LOR is Fabrice Laureau, a musician and producer who has been active on the French independent scene for many years. A member of NLF3 and bassist for Prohibition, he has also produced studio albums for numerous artists such as Shannon Wright, Francoiz Breut, and Dirty Three since the early 2000s.

With his solo project F/LOR, he develops a deeply personal approach to electronic music, blending analog experimentation, sonic landscapes, and immersive storytelling. Edges, recorded on October 18, 2018 in an almost live setting, is built around a minimalist setup: two unsynchronized electronic instruments, a few effects, two channels, and no overdubs. This deliberate constraint gives rise to an organic and constantly shifting work, capturing the moment in all its fragility.

The album unfolds as a continuous forty-minute flow in which textures, loops, and melodies gradually evolve. Between dark drones, hypnotic vibrations, and melodic clarity, F/LOR creates music that is both dense and accessible, drawing as much from the electronic experiments of the 1960s and 70s as from more contemporary resonances reminiscent of Boards of Canada or Autechre.

The title Edges refers to transitional zones, invisible thresholds where forms slowly transform. This idea runs throughout the entire record: music of passages, erosion, and perpetual metamorphosis, where tension and serenity constantly coexist.

This exploration is part of a broader artistic practice developed by Fabrice Laureau around environmental sound and photography. His artisanal label Ouvré extends this vision through handmade objects inspired by the aesthetics of wabi-sabi and kintsugi, making each piece unique.

With Edges, F/LOR delivers an immersive and singular work, at once minimalist and emotional, where electronic abstraction always retains a deeply human dimension.
